Methodology

What we measure. How we score it.

Two frameworks. 120 signals. Every one scored Pass, Fail, or Veto. This page explains the full audit in detail.

Two frameworks. One verdict.

The audit runs across two frameworks in parallel. One assesses your content at page level. The other assesses your domain and market presence. Together they produce a complete picture of how AI sees you.

Framework I

CORE-EEAT

Page-level. Evaluates the content and structure of your most important pages across 8 dimensions: Contextual Clarity, Organization, Referenceability, Exclusivity, Experience, Expertise, Authority, and Trust.

Framework II

Hover or tap any signal to see what it measures and why it matters in the audit.

Pass. Fail. Veto.

Pass

The signal is met. Each pass contributes to the likelihood of being named in an AI response.

Fail

The signal is not met. Every fail is addressable: something to write, structure, configure, or build.

Veto

Auto-fail. One veto can block citation regardless of everything else. We flag these first, and fix them first.

No partial scores. The audit is a complete picture.

Twelve dimensions. What each one measures.

CORE-EEAT evaluates your pages. CITE evaluates your domain. Both matter. Weakness in either limits what the other can achieve.

C
CORE-EEAT
Contextual Clarity
Does your content answer the right question, for the right audience, in the right way? Covers intent alignment, topic scope, semantic coherence, and FAQ coverage. AI can only recommend what it clearly understands.
10 signals · C01 – C10
O
CORE-EEAT
Organization
Can AI extract a clean answer from your structure? Heading hierarchy, schema markup, data tables, list formatting, and section chunking. The difference between content AI can parse and content it skips.
10 signals · O01 – O10
R
CORE-EEAT
Referenceability
Is every claim backed by evidence AI can verify? Citation density, source hierarchy, timestamp freshness, evidence-claim mapping, and HTML semantics. Perplexity in particular filters out uncited content.
10 signals · R01 – R10
E
CORE-EEAT
Exclusivity
Do you have something AI has a reason to cite rather than synthesise from elsewhere? Original data, novel frameworks, primary research, depth advantage. Exclusive content earns citations; generic content gets paraphrased.
10 signals · E01 – E10
Exp
CORE-EEAT
Experience
Does your content prove you actually did this? First-person narrative, process documentation, tangible proof, and quantified outcomes. Experience signals are hard to fake and strongly preferred by Claude and Perplexity.
10 signals · Exp01 – Exp10
Ept
CORE-EEAT
Expertise
Does the content demonstrate genuine command of the subject? Author identity, credential display, technical depth, edge case awareness, and reasoning transparency. Expertise is demonstrated, not declared.
10 signals · Ept01 – Ept10
A
CORE-EEAT
Authority
Does the wider internet confirm your standing? Backlink quality, media mentions, knowledge graph presence, and brand recognition. Authority is granted by others, not claimed by yourself.
10 signals · A01 – A10
T
CORE-EEAT
Trust
Are you demonstrably safe to recommend? Legal compliance, contact transparency, security standards, disclosure statements, and editorial integrity. Trust signals protect both the user and the AI recommending you.
10 signals · T01 – T10
C
CITE
Citation
How well does the internet link to and cite your domain? Referring domain volume and quality, editorial link ratio, AI citation frequency and prominence, and cross-engine citation breadth. The most direct measure of AI visibility.
10 signals · CITE-C01 – C10
I
CITE
Identity
Can AI verify you exist as a real, distinct entity? Knowledge graph presence, brand search volume, schema coverage, cross-platform consistency, and domain tenure. Without a clear identity, AI has no entity to recommend.
10 signals · CITE-I01 – I10
T
CITE
Trust
Does your domain-level profile look natural, stable, and clean? Link profile naturalness, WHOIS transparency, dofollow ratio, penalty and deindex history, and review reputation. Three veto signals live here.
10 signals · CITE-T01 – T10
E
CITE
Eminence
How visible and authoritative is your domain within your category? Organic search visibility, SERP feature ownership, authoritative media coverage, topical authority depth and breadth, and geographic reach.
