Why we exist

An additional layer appeared in how people search.

AI agents now place and position your brand amongst your competitors according to the signals they interpret, and visibility in those answers does not follow from web presence alone.

Search

Search added an AI layer.

AI answers now appear alongside traditional search results, reshaping what people expect to find. Citations and mentions have joined rankings as a measure of visibility. Being found now means being referenced.

Brand

Campaigns and citations diverged.

Brands were winning on every familiar metric but AI wasn't citing them. It became evident that the rules for getting recommended and mentioned by AI were different from the rules for getting clicks.

Buyers

Buyers learned to ask, not browse.

Buyers now rely on AI agents to research, compare, and decide. The shortlist forms before any site visit, shaped by what AI surfaced and recommended. By the time they reach you, the decision is nearly made.

We realised these changes were happening, and we measured them. The strategy for being found had changed, and most businesses had not yet adapted.
